DUNKIN’ X OREO
With a new Oreo collaboration coming, Dunkin’ was looking for an innovative way to break through on social and build excitement without much of a budget. So, in a complete surprise to their combined 2 Million+ Twitter followers, we switched the Dunkin’ and Oreo accounts, launching the world’s first ever Twitter brand swap.
Inspired by the classic “Freaky Friday” plot, we swapped brand colors, fonts, posts, and even social media marketing teams, knowing fans would help us switch back. Followers suggested we work together to undo the glitch, so Dunkin’ and Oreo pitched each other possible collaborations with fans commenting on each post and idea, until finally the new Oreo donut and hot chocolate were revealed - switching the Twitter feeds back to normal and resulting in one of the most collaborative brand activations ever.
